Assembling a Matrix Band

Students will demonstrate the proper assembly, placement, and removal of a Tofflemire matrix band and universal retainer. They will select appropriate materials and band size, perform the procedure following industry protocols, and explain the purpose and function of the matrix band. Finally, they will reflect on how the procedure might be adapted when additional tooth surfaces are involved.
